Started in the 1930's....
As a small Ontario based regional trucking company, that grew and expanded until it was acquired by TNT, the Austrailian based transportation conglomerate in 1973.
While owned by TNT, the North American trucking operations expanded geographically to cover virtually the entire continent, through startups and aquisitions, operating in most transportation sectors.
In 1992, the U.S. operations of TNT were sold in an IPO that now operates as a successful publicly traded company, by the management team that it took public.
In 1996, TNT Worldwide was aquired by KPN (PTTPost) the privitized Dutch Post Office, who subsequently determined that their core strategy and geographic focus effectively excluded the TST Solutions Inc operations.
On January 5, 1998, the same management team who had successfully and profitably steered these operations through deregulation, and the many other factors that have impacted the transportation industry for their previous owners, acquired the company.
